The program, which lasts eight to ten weeks, combines interactive classroom learning with live facility tours and culminates with implementing a Lean Improvement Project at their organization. Graduates are able to independently sustain improvements within their respective organizations. “We are thrilled to be the first recipient of the scholarship from Definity Partners,” said Nancy Missall, Controller of Talbert House. “As a result of this program, we hope to bring greater efficiency to our Finance Department so that we can better serve our clients and deliver added value to our services. We are a very complex organization and refining our internal processes will enable us to better serve our internal and external customers.” Talbert House is a Greater Cincinnati nonprofit social service agency that serves 25,000 men, women and children each year. The agency provides assessment, prevention, treatment and reintegration services in the fields of community corrections, mental health, substance abuse and welfare-to-work. As part of their Lean Certification Program, Talbert House has outlined a specific project that will increase their business efficiency. Definity Partners will analyze and review the processes for collection of billing information at the point of service and identify steps required to ensure financial stability.
